Derek Allen is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University (EMU), where he majored in Finance, Economics, and Management. During his time as a full-time student, he was also employed at TCF Bank. First, as a teller and ultimately advancing to the position of Branch Manager. After graduating from EMU he accepted another promotion at TCF Bank, as their home office loss mitigator in the corporate lending department

His commercial Property & Casualty career began in 2014 where he quickly developed a niche in mobile home communities, apartment complexes, hotels, portfolio management groups, trucking/transportation, international logistics, manufacturing, and high-value habitational residences. Derek is proficient in direct (traditional) standard market placement as well as non-admitted brokered shared & layered high-value property portfolios.
