Welcome Spring! We would like to celebrate the first day of spring with you today by sharing some tips and tricks regarding spring cleaning. Spring cleaning is a time when individuals look to shake out the fall and winter dust. It is a time when people can get rid of things, clean out the closet, let the fresh air in end enjoy what nature has to offer. It gets the stale out and the freshness in.

There are many chores that come with spring cleaning – washing walls, deep clean dusting, cleaning out cupboards and drawers, and so much more. However, there are also a few things that are important to tackle in the spring that may help you save on costly homeowner’s insurance claims in the future. A few of those include cleaning the dryer lint hose to prevent unnecessary drying loads and a possible fire, checking the batteries on smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, replacing old and dried out caulking around doors and windows, cleaning gutters and downspouts, and preparing routine maintenance on your AC unit.

To help get you started with your spring cleaning, we wanted to share this Spring Cleaning Checklist from Martha Stewart Living for you to download and use as you begin to tackle the dusting and window washing.
